Sendai Castle Site

Sendai Castle was first built in 1602 by Date Masamune (the founder of Sendai). Although the castle was demolished years ago, the stone walls are still in place. If you look up from the bottom of stone walls, you can get an amazing picture of what it looked like back then. From the statue of Date Masamune, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Sendai.
