Entsuin Temple
The mausoleum of Date Mitsumune, grandson of the feudal lord Date Masamune, is located in the grounds of the Entsuin Temple. The mausoleum was greatly influenced by aspects of Western culture that Hasekura Tsunenaga brought back from Europe; on the door of the miniature shrine is a painting of a rose brought back by Tsunenaga.
The dry landscape garden resembling Matsushima Bay is also beautiful.
